Hoo-boy. This project has been tiring. At least I can rest easy in the knowledge that my project will at least be better than everyone else's. It's been coming along at a steady pace, and I can see it becoming something great.
The photos my workers have been taking are really good and they go into the photogrammetry software without any problems. Photogrammetry is when you convert photos into 3D computer models. However, sometimes the rendering process can be messed up. This is a real pain, especially when I wait 2+ hours for the model to be created. I am unaware of how to fix it at the moment, but my programmers and I are looking into it.
When working in a distracting place, I find it best to listen to music and tune everyone out. Sometimes it's a good idea to take a break so I can gather my senses. Working in the engineering room can be especially distracting sometimes due to all the hustle and bustle in there. These techniques have helped me cope with the noise in that room.
In Pam's class, we have been learning about the effects of words and how they can be twisted. Words can have a huge influence on a lot of our decision making, especially when they come from the mouths of people we idolize. If someone we like or look up to a lot says something incredibly stupid, we may go along with it anyway because of our preconceived thoughts on the person. The same goes for people we hate. What if they say something 100% rational and true? We may just dismiss them as a liar because of, again, preconceived thoughts.
While this project has been incredibly taxing on my mind, I think the product I produce will be worthwhile and entertaining. Best of luck to me!
