99 Seconds of Change
For this, we chose an issue in our society and made a 99 second video trying to get our point about the issue across. Mine was expanding the San Diego Convention Center.
To research this issue, we went on a magical journey through the internets to find reliable sources. We then wrote a fact sheet on the information that we found.
We then wrote formal business letters to people that are involved in the issue.
Next, we wrote scripts for videos that we would be making.
Once finished, we recorded Steven reading the script.
We got images for our video from the web and edited them with Photoshop.
This is the fun part! We got to edit our videos and bring everything together.
Finally, we posted the video to YouTube. You can view it at the top!
Reflection
1. What is the most valuable thing you have learned from this project?
I think the most valuable thing I have learned from this project is video editing. I have had minor experience with it before, but now that I have had a big project about it, it seems like a piece of cake.
2. What did you do that helped you be successful on this project?
A lot of the time I get off task watching videos on YouTube. I was able to refrain from that this time around and I created a quality product.
3. What advice would you give to students who will do this project in the future?
I would tell them that no matter how intimidating all this computer mumbo jumbo looks, it is way easier to use than you may think.
4. What did your teachers do well for this project?
He provided helpful support and feedback to make the video funnier.
5. How could your teachers make this project better?
If we had more time to make it beautiful, that would be appreciated.
